City Centre Redevelopment
Coventry City Centre Redevelopment
Over the past few years there have been many plans for the improvement and redevelopment of the City Centre. The Society has been supportive of some of these, including removal of the canopy in Broadgate, the improvements made for the Olympics, the traffic calming measures, the redesign of Broadgate, the Friargate scheme and in 2012 the Council published its plans for City Centre South. However we have been opponents of some plans, for instance the infamous Jerde Plan.
We also supported the City Centre Area Action Plan.
At the present time we are all being consulted on a revised scheme for City Centre South.
