The City Council receives scores of planning applications every week. Many of these are minor alterations that may be important to neighbours but have little significance to the wider city. You can search for all planning applications, past and present, from the Council’s New Planning Portal.
On this page we set out some of the recent planning applications (going back up to one year) that we feel might have wider significance for people in the city. We don’t include minor development, extension, advertisements or the submitted details on approved projects. If you are interested in planning applications in the city you can look at all applications on the Council’s New Planning Portal.
At the present time it is not possible to easily extract consistent information from the Planning Portal and there is a high probability that we have missed some important applications.
