Buildings at Risk

The origins of The Coventry Society began with the campaign to save Kirby House in Little Park street and we continue to be committed to safeguarding Coventry’s heritage. This means finding productive and sustainable uses for buildings that are vacant and at risk of deterioration. We campaign and we advise and support bringing buildings back into use.

The buildings that we currently consider are still at risk are as follows:

25 Allesley Old Road, topshops

Canley Hall, Ivy Farm Lane

Coventry Synagogue, Barras Lane

The Old Toy Museum (Whitefriars Gatehouse)

Whitefriars

Whitley Pumping House

Coventry Swimming Pool

Park Cottage, Stoke Park.

Bird Grove House, George Eliot Road

Former Paris Cinema, Far Gosford Street

St. Nicholas Church, Radford Road – now demolished

Sheep pound (pinfold), Coat of Arms Bridge Road

The Black Horse, Spon End – now demolished
